Westbrook School is a vibrant, inclusive and high-achieving primary school in Rotorua with a current roll size of 493 students. We are seeking an exceptional leader to continue the strong performance of our kura that has been led by our current Principal while upholding our strong foundations.
As Principal, you will lead a dedicated team of educators, ensuring students reach their full potential. You will nurture a community that is diverse, values high academic standards, inclusive education and strong relationships with staff, students and whānau.

• Ensure inclusive and innovative teaching practices, with a focus on high expectations for all learners.
• Build trust and transparency through effective communication
• Manage school operations to support student learning and staff wellbeing.
• Will work closely with the Board to support the school’s governance decisions and future direction.
We are looking for a Tumuaki | Principal who:

• Has highly effective communication skills
• Is visionary, motivated, and capable of fostering a high-performance culture.
• Leads with empathy, supporting the growth and wellbeing of staff and students.
• Has extensive knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum, strong pedagogical practices and experience in educational leadership.
• Can manage change while maintaining the school’s traditions and high standards.
